  1. I found it very interesting that she wrote 1800 poems in her life, but only published 8 of them. That fact plus everything else was excellently handled in the presentation. I would have like to have heard more about her writings too though. Needless to say, over the years I've read several things of Dickinson, so I don't think I'll go out and get on of her books for my own personal benefit.

  2. I was surprised to hear that none of her poems had titles because that's pretty unusual. I also thought your theory about her isolation leading to her creativity. Good introduction also.

  3. I was shocked by all the poems that she wrote and how so many were not published. I liked how you examined her writing. I wish that you would have went more into her life. I feel like you focused more on her writings.

  4. I have heard of Emily Dickinson before but had never checked out any of her work. I think you did a good job at talking about her writing and I found it crazy at the amount of poems she wrote in her life and how she never titled them.

  5. I knew a little about Emily Dickinson before this, but not a lot. I didn't know that she had written so many poems, yet only published a few. I feel a bit bad about reading her private work now! Although she was private, I would have liked to know a little more about her life.

  6. Emily Dickinson is one of my favorites. "Faith is a Fine Invention" is my favorite poem by her. It's simple but it says so much. She is so good at saying a lot in few words.
The fact that she had a .4% publishing rate is a fact of clarity. It's like a breath of fresh air to hear about a famous poet that only wrote for herself with no other purpose. I just love this.

  7. I really enjoyed learning more about Emily Dickinson since she is a very famous poet. I found it really interesting that she wrote 1800 poems and only 8 of those were published! That absolutely blows my mind! I thought you did a good job explaining her work and going in depth with her poems. Although that was great, I really wished I knew more about her background story. I'm not really familiar with her work so it would've been nice to hear more but overall, good job!

  9. I knew she wrote a lot, but I had no idea she wrote 1800 poems and only had 8 of those published. It's crazy. I can't really say I would have liked to know more about her life, because she was so incredibly private. So, all in all, good job. While I won't be looking at her work any more than I need to, I certainly do respect her poems.

  10. Jeremiah, seriously dude. Tone down the enthusiasm and dramatic flair a little. There's no need to fall dramatically during a presentation. Good overall though.

  11. The fact that Emily Dickinson wrote 1800 poems, but only had 8 published her entire life. That was so cool. I wish we could have heard more about her life because she was so private. The overall presentation was nice and felt very professional. I also liked your cue for me to turn the slides. :D
